STIHL ErgoStart saves you energy when starting your power tools. A smooth and even pull on the starter cord is all that’s needed. The required speed on the starter cord is significantly reduced, and the engine starts quickly and reliably even with a slow pull. An additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord roll makes this easier.

With STIHL M-Tronic, you’ll have the best performance from your work tool from the outset. Fully electronic engine management regulates the ignition timing and fuel metering in all work situations, taking into account external conditions such as temperature, altitude and fuel quality.

The manual fuel pump reduces the number of strokes required to start the power tool, making the start-up process quicker and easier This is particularly helpful after longer breaks in operation. To use it, actuate the pump several times before starting. This will ensure that there is enough petrol in the system when starting.

Thanks to its long service life, you rarely need to change the easily accessible filter. This saves resources and reduces maintenance effort.

The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.

Thanks to the single-handed multi-function handle, you can control your power tool easily and reliably with one hand. Because all relevant control elements are integrated in the handle, it can be operated by both right-handed and left-handed users.

With the stop button, you can switch off your power tool quickly and easily for a short break, for example. As the button springs back to its original position after actuation, the engine is immediately ready to start again. This provides more comfort after breaks and increases your work efficiency.

The ergonomic bike handle helps you work on large areas quickly and effortlessly, as this handle supports a natural brushcutter movement. The bike handle is easy to adjust and secure.

Thanks to the innovative design, you can work more ergonomically with ADVANCE Grip handle elements than with comparable brushcutter handles from STIHL. In addition to the shape, the side-mounted locking lever in particular supports intuitive operation. This gives you more options for adjusting your hand position depending on the work assignment.

You can individually adjust the ergonomic bike handle using the central clamping device. Thanks to the tool-free handle adjustment, you do not need any tools for this. The bike handle can be rotated 90 degrees for transport and space-saving storage.

You can easily adapt your work tool to the different conditions of the seasons. A slider allows you to easily switch between summer and winter operation. The winter setting ensures that the air filter and carburettor do not ice up.

The large fuel tank allows you to work longer without having to refuel. Thanks to its transparent material, you can check the fill level of your tank quickly and easily. The filler cap is firmly attached so that you cannot lose it.

With the STIHL 2-MIX engine, you can reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is low-maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power levels. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

Vibrations can occur when you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body.
